Bimlers Kennel Facilities
Each day starts at 8am with the dogs let out into the play and exercise yards either individually or in small groups. While they're having fun each and every kennel unit is thoroughly cleaned. By 11am most dogs are in their kennel units for a mid day nap.
Around 4pm the dogs have another exercise and play session while all kennel units are cleaned again, and then its back inside by 6pm for a healthy dinner followed by bedtime.

Kennel Units
Each dog has its own individual kennel unit, or we can provide accommodation for dogs from the same family in a family kennel unit upon request. All kennel units have sealed concrete floors in order to allow us to maintain a very high level of hygiene, they are cleaned twice daily. We also have under floor heated rooms available for a small addition cost.
Everything that your dog needs during their stay at Bimlers Kennel is supplied by us, however as we want your dog to feel as "at home" as possible, so you're welcome to bring along a favourite toy or familiar bedding to enhance your dog's stay.
All dogs sleep on raised beds as we believe this allows air to circulate and breath, preventing condensation, mould and odours. We offer 2 types of raised bed, either slat or hammock style. Fresh water is available at all times.

Well-being
We believe in making sure that all dogs have at least 2 outdoor play sessions each dayand thats it's essential for their general welfare. Mental stimulation comes, with a change of scenery and dog friends to play. Exercise promotes physical wellbeing so we have 5 large play yards where dogs can use their whole body playing, running, stretching, jumping, playing ball and enjoying themsleves in the fresh air. We have a selection of toys from balls and ropes, and splash pools for summer use, to keep active minds on the go.
Dogs are sociable creatures and enjoy human interaction, as "dog lovers" we aim to make your dogs stay with us the next best thing to being at home. So while your away we are happy to provide them with companionship, love and affection. We know the dogs by name and enjoy spending time with them, weather its to play ball or spend a few minutes giving them a pat.
We also play "dog music" and the radio in the kennel area. The radio provides lots of audion stimulation with different voices, and obviously music can impact in numerous ways, so we try and provide a diverse range of audio stimulation and relaxtion throughout the day.
Most dogs settle into the new surroundings and routine very quickly, but we are consious of those that find things a little over whelming on their first visit, and those that suffer separation anxiety. We support the transition in multiple ways. By encourgaing you to bring a familiar item from home, Defusing a calming pheromone into the air. We try and find them a "buddy" - another dog of similar size and personality who they can play with during exercise times and we try and bunk them down in the unit next door.
Remember that you are welcome to bring along a favorite toy or familiar bedding so that we can create a 'home away from home' for your dog.

Play Yards
Your dog will have at least 2 daily opportunities to enjoy social contact and stimulus in one of the play yards. We currelty have seven large play yards, where your dogs will enjoy the natutal environment of trees, grass and water play in summer. Having the six play yards ensures that your dog won't become bored with the environment. Most dogs don't mind the rain, you can rest assured that your dog will still get plenty of outside time even on rainey days.
In the near future we plan on adding the all weather surface areas to each of the grass play yards. And for those that prefer not to get wet, we're planning on adding a smaller all weather yard in the near future, so they still get their outside and social contact time while staying dry.
We're also planning on introducing some interesting objects to the p[lay yards to stimulate your dogs time with us e.g. tunnels, ramps, bridges and of course there is nearly always someone willing to throw the ball.

Diet
We provide a nutritionally balanced, premium diet for all dogs and feed the quality brand Purina. We also provide dog roll for those who require an ulternative. Fresh water is available at all times. Dogs are fed once a day, in the evening. Puppies and other dogs will be fed twice daily as required.
We feed Purina to our own dogs, and after trialing a number of quailty brands found that all of our own dogs "did well" on Purina dog food. In our experince we found that the dogs maintained their weight, had good healthy shiney coats, had plenty of energy, all our dogs liked it ,even the fussy eaters, it didn't cause flatulence and the excrement had minimal smell and was of healthy consistency, all of which proved to us that their bodies were utilising what was provided in Purina dog food.
You are also welcome to bring your own dog food from home if you have your dog on a special diet.
